Rusting Boot Struts, Available?

Early last year, I paid about £75 for 2 genuine ones for my coupe (p/n 51243420572) from genuineautoparts.com (in Germany).

The roadster versions is p/n 51247016186 - at the moment genuine ones are looking to be about €46 Leebmann24.de and £46 from Schmiedmann.com.

I have also seen some non-genuine/non-OEM ones for as little as £22 a pair on ebay.

I'd give your local BMW parts counter and/or the forum dealer (Sopers Lincoln) a call to see what their prices are to compare.

I can recommend the Magnetti Marelli made ones on Ebay. I bought a pair of their longer ones for the rear tailgate on my Mums 318ti a couple of years back. Still going strong and that's a heavy old tailgate ! Cheap also at £25 or so.

They're also the OEM struts on my Alfa.

Recently purchased a pair from SGS in Derby, and fitted just before selling car

They were around £45 delivered and I felt they were a tad too long.
They took them back and so that there was no risk of them touching the hardtop they shortened them by 5mm which keeps it away from the glass and at the same time upgraded to metal ball sockets at each end
Very helpful company and come with 2 year warranty
