Following on from my thread about the a stuck screw to the radiator cover can anyone recommend a good treatment for rust.

Both mine and a mates car have a small amount of surface rust on the metal panel that the top of the bumper and radiator cover screw/clip on to.

I'm looking to repaint treat/remove the rust and repaint.

Many thanks.

Wire brush in a drill to remove the loose stuff and brighten it up then apply a rust converter let it do its work then prime with your choice of primer some use red oxide, once dry follow by top coat, gloss black, I use black smooth right for most things

POR-15 is amazing. Minimal prep and super glossy finish. Hard as nails after.

Where is your 'go to' place for this please? My Zed is immaculate underneath but my saab daily is not so...
Cheers

Yes hammeright smooth I use it on the underside should be ok on top as well maybe use the aerosol version for a good finish rather than brush.
