Rust warranty, car back with new tailgate...WTF!!!!

i think people get worried when they see a job rightly as your head says....

who the hell would let it out the shop like this? and how much care are they taking with the car if this is their standards, i understand the OPs worry, no matter how careful you are messing with large panels like this is an easy way to lead to accidental damage, let alone with people that clearly aren't taking their time.

Hope it gets sorted soon OP.

I've got a 'quality certificate' from my accident repair, it it's not worth the paper it's printed on as the Bodyshop have said they were not prepared to go any further to fix the issues they left after the repair.

They didn't seem to get the point that their quality certificate stated that everything had been done too their strict quality procedures...but if that was the case, then either their quality processes are s**t, or they're not being followed...othwerwise I wouldn't have had misaligned door, unattached sill, unmatched tyres on same axle.

After many months I got a couple of things fixed, but gave up on the rest and fixed them myself.

Got my hatch done under warranty a few years ago though

Danzcoupe.....

never saw a follow up on this one?? did you get it sorted??

as a side note, i hope this makes you feel better i measured some of my panels on various points of the car and they were in spec BUT... some sides where either side of the allowed Gap, so basically, they aren't perfect anyway.
