rust problems

ive got rybrook on the case as my passengers door is rusting where the outer and inner skins meet and a seal is put over it to protect the weld. ive now found the same problem with the bonnet so I need to get them informed and try to get it sorted on the corrosion guarantee. has any one else suffered with the same problems on their cars?

Had this problem with a 3 year old X type, Jag came good in the end but they needed a bit of persuasion to fix it under the paintwork cosmetic warranty, in that case the sealant was letting water from the outside into the joint (inside the door was unmarked) and therefore was only light suface rust. As for your bonnet, are you sure it's rust, the bonnets aluminium? . All the best with the dealer, but I think they may give you the runaround.
