I think that when he starts talking serious, he is not quite good at it but when he is doing comedy, that is something that he could really focus on.
His characters are great and they rather appear greater because he plays them really well. Too bad that his marriage to Katy, not that we care about it and do follow, failed as they were not the usual couple everyone would actually like.
