Z Zulu4 Active member Lincolnshire Apr 7, 2021 #3 Sounds like the infamous but completely normal N52 tick. The BMW official procedure for this is to rev the engine for 3 minutes at 3000 RPM, if that doesn't work do it for longer (Seriously !!)

Z z4man2020 Member Apr 7, 2021 #4 Okay no worries, Mine used to do it but I flushed the engine and treated it with Lifter Valve treatment and that fixed it! :driving: It just seems to me that this sounds different.... I must be wrong :tumbleweed:
