I hear what your saying but these type of cars are ment to be driven, and sometimes driven hard :)

They're not made of putty and shouldn't break that easily :)

I'll have you know my cars are well looked after and serviced regularly, if you keep them fresh then they last for miles and miles :D
 
All joking apart, there's some value in driving them like you've stolen them (or like a hire car) and keeping them well serviced! :D

I've just found a better driving possition for mine today after having the car for 3 months, noticed the steering wheel moves in and out also so have pulled it towards me and feels even more sporty around the bends :)

I'm just playing with tyre pressures now to see how that alters the little bit of sway i've got now after removing the rear runflats
 
I know a guy who is a fleet manager & runs cars over 5 years to around 120-150k miles. In his opinion is running a car in properly is an absolute requirement if you're intending to keep a car long term. They've been data logging their cars for the past 7-8 years & so have a rough idea of how the cars are run in, or not as the case may be. Well over 80% of cars which once much past 100k which have reliability problems were driven hard from new. Also cars which were driven hard from new have noticeably higher fuel consumption & higher oil consumption towards the end of their life in fleet.

That all makes perfect sense to me and it also makes me worry buying a second hand car (that includes demonstrators)
Fortunately mine uses no oil between changes so hopefully I've been lucky)

Spoken like a true Chessie biker, is it you that rides up to my arse bumper, gives me the bird for driving like an old granny round the owler bar roundabout..? :poke: :wink:

Yep that used to be me apart form giving driver the bird, I was far to polite for that :)
Packed up on road in 2009 when I took to the track and started racing, and now a retired biker after smashing my leg to bits in 2013 hence the change to my Z :)
 
Sounds nasty Jolly, trust all is ok now. Where In Chessie are you out of interest, i'll keep my eye out for you as i'm often passing through up Chatsworth rd, don't see many zed's. :thumbsup:

Still not fully right yet if it ever will but doesn't stop me doing much now.

I'm not actualy in chessie but Bolsover, but keep your eye out for a black z with a number plate that looks something like NIGE :D
 
Tbh i'd have a bike tomorrow but swmbo would throw me out she hates bikes...........Kwakka 1100 gets delivered first thing in the morning.. :lol:

Can't blame her really, got family too. :thumbsup:
