Hi all ive just noticed that im running two different speed rated tyres, they are bog standard bridgestone potenzas 225/50/r16 but three of them are 92v and the rear driver side is 92w is this safe/ok?

I might be wrong but I thought Bridgestone Turanza was 92W, which wasn't run-flat!

someone else will confirm this for you Andy

Andyif you check the speed rating online I don't think you will find you have anything to worry about.

for every day use speed ratings on tyres will have no effect IMO

insurance may be an issue, would they try an void a claim if you did not have the recommended speed rated tyre? they will use any excuse

I phoned up aviva yesterday as I'm changing my fronts to Falken FK452 and they couldn't give a damn about speed rating for some reason. They were only interested in tyre size. To be safe, just ring your insurer as they all seem to vary in policy.

Cheers.
