I always thought my run flats were ok. Bit harsher ride maybe but not that much to make me want to change them.
New car has non rft's and even though it's slightly less harsh, you still get bounced around with our terrible roads anyway.
Your zed's suspension will be set to perform with rft's but, as you say, people on here have changed and prefer it but I think I recall others have gone back but I might have dreamt that!

Change em back if you prefer it :thumbsup:
 
I've got m sport suspension and have just swapped out the RFTs for nons - for me, it's made it a much much better car, but I guess it's all about individual opinion and feel on the road.
 
The A13 is buggered. I drive it every day. In the inside lane, you're constantly fighting the camber of the road.

When on OEM Bridgestones this does not happen, could there be some truth in that BMW do not recommend non runflats due to the m sport suspension being tuned for runflats. Also I have read they only recommend the use of non runflats tires on runflat rims as a temporary measure? which I know goes against the findings of the members on this forum.

Also I don't need a can of foam in case of a puncture, and that the latest generation of runflats seem to be better these days

Your experience is 180 degrees from mine where swapping from RFT's made the car drivable on my crabby local roads.

I'de have a 4 wheel alignment done and ask them to check your suspension including front drop links and control arm bushes, plus for broken rear springs which can induce rear-steer effect. Once done see how it is and play with tyre pressures. It should be curable :thumbsup:
 
I changed mine from run flats to non run flats as when I got the car all the things I had read about run flats were true as they made the car tramline and veer off from a straight direction and the handling was poor, plus the ride and handling on country lanes was skittish to say the least! The non run flats transformed the car in my opinion and I wouldn't go back to them, it was even mentioned on top gear that they were glad BMW had ditched those awful run flats.
