Run flats, sensor enquiry, alloy change on 3.5is E89

Hey, I'm hoping to get some advice regarding what is best about changing my Z4 3.5is alloys.
I'm currently running BMW stock 295 alloys 18" which are 30mm wider at the rear.
Basically I prefer the look of other alloys and don't know if i should stick with run flats or put normal tyres on. Also I don't know how it works with my dashboard and the sensors if I remove the run flats?
I've heard there are issues with cracked rims?

Can anyone give me some advice as I am looking to get it done ready for a track event.

Thanks everyone

Sorry I should add these are my current alloys which I'm not that keen on the looks!

Hi and welcome aboard
The combination of 296 alloys and RFT tyres seems to be the main culprit regarding cracking but it can happen with other types of alloy
Don't think anyone has had a problem after changing to non-RFT
Depending on the age of your car it will either have TPMS which is a sensor in the valve of the tyre (post 2013) these will have to be
replaced when you do the change over or just a reset on the OBC which is easy with instruction from the manual (before 2013)
Think the dates are correct, check the manual :)
