Run Flat Question

Hi all, noticed one of my fronts looked a little low so checked and it was just over 1 bar. At what point does the car let you know it is flat?

Also, after only having the car for a few days and covering a couple of hundred miles I have no idea how long it has been this low. Could it possibly be ruined?

Flat tyre sensors work on wheel rotation, rather than actual pressure. A sudden depressurisation will be detected, but not a slow leak. I'd have though the tyre would be OK having been down to 1bar, provided there are no visible signs.

It's a good idea to check your pressures occasionally!

Think I have got away with it, pressure is still constant. Got 5k or so left in the set so looking forward to dumping the run flats.

I heard someone comment that they waited til the run flats were out of tread before changing to non run flats and they said they wished they had done it sooner and not waited until the run flats were worn out. Go on, you know you want to......
