As for the C63, my mate is trying to sell me his - what an absolute monster of a machine, and that sound!! Unfortunately too far out of my price range but maybe one day :)

Yes the prospect of the wearables is scary when you factor in a new set of PPP front disc's and pad's is upwards of £1,000 and the realistic mpg is high tens.

I am sure all that will be forgotten when I put my foot down.

I guess you can't social distance in a Z so it will be a mask and gloves jobbie I guess. I haven't really thought of the logistics there.

I would say picking up a car is essential. If you can pick up a car from a garage then I can't see it stopping you selling one domestically?

The arrangement at a garage is that test drives are carried out solo. I did some last year under that arrangement and I was either in convoy with an employee in a lead vehicle or just sent off with the car and a time it should be returned. I completely understand why neither of those options would appeal when selling privately.

Personally, I think that whether picking up a recently bought car is essential is a grey area. I don't want your for sale thread to turn into some of the threads in The Lounge, but you brought it up. Some car purchases will be essential, such as if yours is broken or you don't have one and one is required for essential journeys. However, lots of Zs are none essential luxuries (see the thread about how many of our cars are just sitting). I think that's another reason why this segment of the market is slow - driving just for fun breaches the current rules and you are not supposed to leave your local area without a very good reason. I expect people will be delaying a purchase of a car like this for those reasons. Not to mention that on most days the weather sucks. I'm not judging anyone who is travelling to buy a car or that chooses to drive - I'm not perfect and being stuck in all the time is miserable! Just offering some thoughts on the slowness and current situation.

As others have indicated, I think you'll get a better price if you can hang on and if things go well that may only be another couple of months. GLWTS

Car will no longer be taxed on the 28/02/21 and shall be off road road for a couple of months until she will be legally allowed to make "non essential" journeys.

Looks like it’s coming up north :spy: Not to me I might add. Looks a lovely car but just couldn’t have a black one.
