Ruby Black MC....wheel colour?

So, just had the front bumper resprayed on the ruby black MC (which the guys did an amazing job with) and tomorrow I'm going to get the wheels re-powder coated and am unsure what colour to go with. I'm going to list the car for sale next week, so I guess silver is the most sensible, but it's a boring colour to my eye....what's the view on here?

Car looks/sounds clean without the aeros, remus and gruppe now :?

If you've taken everything else back to standard to sell the car I'd definitely get the wheels done in Silver for the same reason.

Although I do think Shadow Chrome would look rather nice otherwise!

I've never been a fan of dark wheels on dark cars (just looks like brake dust) - so I'll vote OE silver.

It’s got to be silver for resale, preferably not just a straight silver either but something with a bit of depth like the original finish.

+1 really don't like dark wheels but my Z4MC and Z4MR both the previous owners painted the 224's grey and always looks dull unless clean

Reality - not even that dirty

Dull and lifeless IMO

Silver is obvious but looks great and OEM. Hyper Silver gives a nice contrast.

My csl wheels were hyper silver so had the 224’s in gunmetal which I actually preferred most of the time.

I think you guys are correct, so I’ve gone hyper silver though for the 224s this time, so let’s see how they look when I get it back tomorrow.

Don't look bad on the lighter (not just white/light) cars - just not on the dark blues/reds/blacks/greys (i.e. midnight, ruby, carbon, monaco, sapphire) which I'd call 'dark' colours :P

I don’t know, looks pretty good to me :o

I’ve had standard silver wheels on mine for the past 7 years so I might have to get my spare set painted gloss black and see how I feel.

Thinking about having my wheels resprayed.. Hadn't thought about a non standard colour. My coupe is silver grey metallic and I wondered how a darker wheel colour would look. Anyone own a car like that?
