Looking at getting the RPI Induction kit, scoop and filter,,,but postage from states is horrendous any UK or European suppliers out there we know of..??

You can have my crudely fabricated carbon fibre scoop of you want. It looks ok behind the grille and is considerably larger than the rpi one. It wouldn't win any design awards though.

Whats the main difference with these things once on - just noise or colder air?

pilchardthecat - i'd happily take this off your hands to play with if plowy doesnt want it? I've got modding fever and my exhausts are tied up until i can go and visit machinemonkey's new uberworkshop.

@jamiez....they are positioned behind the kidney grill and direct a cold air feed into the induction ducting, I read they become more effective the faster you go due to the forced air feed they create....it's claimed on their site gains of 7-12bp at 70mph...not sure how true but it's not an expensive mod and the sort of thing I will have a go with....friend of mine has them on his E60 M5 and says they do make a slight improvement though nothing over exciting...

I have the combination with the air filter that was offered as a package. Bit more noise and the top is about 7 mph more than before. Can't prove anything else in between though.

7mph higher top speed?

That's the equivalent of about a 50bhp increase
