Realizing options will vary, what sorta prices are we looking at with Royal? Just order of magnitude. I imagine its not cheap, looks like quality work.

I paid £169 (incl delivery back), really really pleased with it, nice people to deal with

I'll most likely go for the same config as you ZedBaron. Looks great! I've toyed briefly with the idea of a flat bottom and / or the "M" tricolour at the top but keep coming back to the simpler & arguably more elegant options. Looks like you added a bit of extra girth?
How long do they take from sending to return?
I have my door panels off pending a (small) audio mod...and waiting for new panel clips to replace the ones that broke so now may be a good time to get this done too.

Oh wow, [ref]Colin_E[/ref], that's incredibly reasonable. Thanks for sharing. I was expecting to hear back like $500 or something insane (guess Im just getting conditioned to BMW prices, haha). Personally I think Id like a single Blue tag at top and either the M tricolor stitching or just blue (mine's estoril blue). I think I like the solid top / bottom, perforated sides as well though.

Took about two weeks and yes I got it a mm thicker, I would of liked colour stitching but looking around the cabin all of the other stitching was black. I'd bought a replacement wheel, but if you didn't want to be off the road while its being made Royals offer an exchange option.

As above price wise. Not an E89 but I'm really pleased with the result & more than happy with Royals. They did mine at the end of May & turn around was 2 weeks. I had 3 other quotes & no one else came close to Royals, 2 of them were more than double  .
For your car mr.tourette I'd go with the black stitching .

As a curve-ball... as the wheel has 4 leather sections, how about the left & right (where you actually hold it) in perforated black and the top & bottom sections in the same ivory leather as the rest of the interior?
That really doesn’t help with regards to the stitching though :D

Hmm tricky...I think I’d go for a flat bottom mod in black or maybe a dark red thread...the wife’s Mini has it and it looks quite tasteful on a Royal style wheel
Where did you get the flat bottom from out of interest? Also looking to get a royals recover but like the idea of this.

Think Royals do the mod themselves

Yes it an option Royal offers...I know others poo poo it but I really like it...gives a bit more room when you clamber in n out plus looks cool IMHO..each to their own..

Hi

I’ve just had mine done by Royals - such a vast improvement. Went for a slightly thicker wheel with silver stitching to match. Fitted it this morning and very happy.

Absolutely love this! Time for a quote...

[ref]mkinternet[/ref], love the subdued look of the silver stitching! JUST enough to stand out a little and give it extra class.

I've just send my enquiry off to Royals for my wheel to be done in Nappa top bottom and perforated left right with Msport stitching and double wrapped, just like I had done in my e85.

Thanks very much - did not want to go overboard or follow the crowd so thought of something different. Does match well 👍👍👍

Was quoted £170 for round wheel, £230 for flat bottom conversion. They don't have exchange wheels atm (at least not for non M Sport).

I asked for perf e+w
Smooth n+s.
Double padding.
Black stitching.

He also sent me several examples which I'll upload later for people's reference. He was super helpful on the phone.

Once the wheels are stripped is there a difference in the Msport and standard wheels ? Apart from the face trims and the thickness?
