Looks Ace! How much does that cost? My steering wheel is in great condition but this still looks like a worthy upgrade.

This is an old thread from 12 months ago - the wheel still looks brand new btw. Back then it cost £130 IIRC (I think the price is still the same).

Yep, got a quote from them yesterday. £130 plus £15 fitting (if you want them to fit it for you).

I have just called and mine was £140!!!

I guess it depends on what your having done?

I asked for black alacantra with a blue center line and blue stitching. No extra padding and on a standard z steering wheel with no function controls.

What's the blue centre line?

The quote I got for £130 was for "Z4 2004 (No MF buttons, No Paddles) – Padded, Perforated leather on sides, Smooth top/bottom, Black or M - stitching"

I reckon he's just made a mistake - point it out and I'm sure he will re-quote for £130

Race cars/track cars or drift cars will very often have a line at top dead center on the steering wheel so you know where it is.

Worth a try Marlon.
I cant see alcantara being more expensive than leather?

I went for extra padding, perforated sides with nappa top and bottom and it was £120 plus a tenner postage.
Love it, it's such a lovely thing!

Might make a trip over there to see what they feel like. I really like the look of these but also like the stick of the current wheel. Also, don't want to regret getting the extra padding with my girly hands.

Mine came in post today, perforated leather on sides, smooth top/bottom and m sport stitching.
It's looks well smart, Just need to find the time to put it on now and then send them my old wheel to get my deposit back :D

Extra padding?

God, I'm going mad here looking at these posts to see if I think the extra padding will be too thick :-?

It won't be, honestly - it's not much thicker, just very slightly but enough to make the wheel feel nicer in the hand.

If you're anywhere near the Surrey/Hants border you're welcome to try mine :D

Thanks for the offer, but up Leicester/Peterborough way.

Think I might just go for it with the extra padding. I seem to remember when I had my 54 plate Mini Cooper that that was pretty thick and it felt great.

He does also do single (1mm) as well as double (2mm) padding.
