How you finding those new tyres mr wilks?

The fronts ok?

:driving:

I couldn't be more pleased with the Uni's , all surfaces, all conditions & all speeds have been tested this week & the RS3s have proved faultless . Very grippy , very quiet & pinpoint steering into bends with no wavering or slippage whatsoever :driving: they also plough through standing water without a quiver which living in Lancs is a must
Would highly recommend them & will be buying again . . to the point that if someone wants my rear Michelin 255 35 19 tyres (7mm on both ) i would sell them & buy a pair of UniRs3s

Well there you go - all that engine power and the best Zed set up and they performed excellently - preferred sports tyres not required  .
You're now a member of the Sk93 (Ian) school of hooning - he flew on the Skye trip last year on less than premium rubber (and miss matched if I remember as well) - very impressive.

:driving:

i had rainsport 2's on my elise despite warnings of impending doom from many experts.
i thought they were great :driving:

A steady subdued drive down from LochLomond yesterday to Hexham in Northumberland feeling like the best was behind us :( via Kielder it was enjoyable but landscape had a hard act to match from previous days .
This mornings drive to the M6 however was a treat i wasnt expecting :driving:
Leaving Hexham it was literally minutes before open countryside heading to > Stanhope > Barnard Castle .

Around 35/40miles with just open roads & vast moorland with sheep being the only obstacle to navigate past it was a great ending to a great week .

Already planning the next trip

Nice one - those mobile chicanes are effective speed calmers

Where next? :D

:driving:

Will he the usual Trough of Bowland , Ribble Valley & Fylde coast for the summer months then its a Normandy run in October

So almost a year has passed & find myself back on the river Tay , , 275 easy miles covered today in the E89 & whilst down on bhp from my last 2 Zs (///M & 3.0Si ) it just swallows the road & time with ease .
The sport seats are as good as any car ive been in , adjustable bolster a nice touch for the longer periods behind the wheel
Also have to mention the range capabilities / MPG for a 6 cylinder petrol engine are as good as a A6 2.0TDi i had a while back .
Brimmed up this morning , roadwork speeds where i had to , 76/78mph the rest & after 275miles i still had a range of 140 miles :o showing 38mpg on dash & if id coaxed it then i reckon over 40 would have been doable

its not the weather you want to be worried about its the midges  we travel up Scotland's west coast regularly sure it rains but rain doesn't bite
I have vague plans to do a roadtrip in Scotland next week.
Could someone give me an update on the midges this season

Yeah, next week is probably the best.
I work offshore, 2 weeks on/2 weeks off, if I don't go next week the next time I am free is the 3rd week of June.
Definitely a lot more midges by then I guess :x
