I tend to reminisce around this time of year of a Ski trip we took in Europe. After skiing in Austria and Chamonix the weather deteriorated and we started thinking about the Med and sunshine. So we headed south to Grenoble and on to the Cote d Azur via the "Route Napoleon". Later we learned that this is quite a popular scenic and historic drive. The E89 would have been the ideal vehicle. It's interior ski rack, all weather hardtop, steerable interactive headlights, headlight washers and rain sensing wipers would have all been very useful as the road ascended through snow, slush, rain, fog and then descended down through the Maritime Alps into the sunny Riviera and on to Monaco with the top down. We ended up at Lake Como and Lake Lugano in Italy and drove over Alpine passes into Switzerland. I know that there are almost endless road trips like this and I am wondering if Forum members here also enjoy similar European trips from the U.K. that they might share.
