Rotate the pdc graphi

I gave it a go (coded it in Carly) after reading this thread. To be honest it doesn't make much difference to me, more of a novelty to have a different display than anything really practical. The only annoying thing is that the picture of the car doesn't seem to display on the screen for up to 15-30 seconds after putting it in reverse (the 'radar' display works instantly but it looks weird without a car image on the screen, just the colours). There was always a slight delay in the landscape mode but nowhere as long as the one with the portrait (F type) display.
Think I'll code it back to normal next time I'm doing some coding.

I have the same issue with my garage. But no PDC!!!!
So, the first time, I drove in to what I thought was right, stopped, got out, checked the gap and pushed the car forward to the right spot.
Then I got back in, made a visual note of where I was in relation to wall bricks etc.
Been fine since then. Simples!

I assume you never park anywhere else that has a wall?

I do! But I've resolved that. I keep a photo of the garage wall in the car, so I can use that :?

I simply switch the lights on and use the reflected light to judge how close to the wall I am. Same principle as PDC, for us poor folk.

Cos people have been overwhelmed by technology and forgotten how to park using their mirrors??

You forget that the PDC viewer can be used forwards, too. I use it that way every day, because I park under the house in a space between a wall and a brick pillar covered in ivy that's only a few inches wider than the car. Reversing out is easy - I use the mirrors - but driving the long-bonneted E89 in is safer with some help.
