Rooftop harness

Hello,
so after many struggles with roof (faulty pump then faulty module) its finally working like it should. The last thing thats not working correctly its comfort mode. The roof starts to going down or up, but after while its stops and red light start flashing.. Sometimes i need to push key buttons more times, sometimes its stops and i need to finish it via lock or with button inside the car.
I noticed my cable harness from roof got some kind of blending, you can see theres 3 cables going into yellow cap and from there theres just one red cable going to connector to module. The connector itself got 6 pin holes and one is empty. Could this be the reason? Anyone got pic of their pinout and wiring on the connector? Im curious, because everything other works (closing/opening via lock or car buttons, with or without engine on). I also got some Gnd errors on INPA with roof, but im not sure if its from that or it happened when i disconnected old module and put new in…

That looks like someone has been working on your roof loom- plus the symptoms also suggest the same

I’d unpick it all and make good- go further up the loom too to ensure no breaks at the common fail points

I’m not sure Stuart. Pretty certain I’ve seen that before?
Aren’t the symptoms just the usual ones when the battery in the key fob is getting a bit low?

Not sure- but I’ve never seen a connector like that before? It looks aftermarket

Thanks for all the help & replies!
I mean, the cap itself didnt look like aftermarket for me at first, just when i looked on the other looms on internet, i didnt see that cap.. But like i said everything is working, with lock & buttons i can going up & down, stop in middle then continue and everything working perfect, thats why i didnt look for cable break in the roof… I cant find the “original” wiring diagram or just photo of wires colors, how they go into the connector, in the order.. but even if the cap its DIY, theres too many wires going into it (i think, its 3) and there wasnt that many empty pins on the connector..
I also suspected the key fob battery first, but unlock / lock / trunk lid works great. Anyway, i will have a look if theres a way to “charge it up”, i just know, you cant simple change the battery in the key fob, like on other cars..

Also, its 2003 e85 so i coded the komfort opening / closing the roof. But theres not much to try different in the coding, i looked for all things that could be connected to comfort mode..

I have had this issue. End up having to press the button many times, usually whilst looking like an idiot, pointing it at the windscreen from about 2 inches away.

Quick update,
After i changed battery on my main key fob, the buttons doesnt work at all.. Im pretty sure, i didnt damaged anything and soldered it fine.. I can turn engine on, but buttons wont work. Ive tried to resync them several times, but it doesnt lock / unlock as supposed after pushing buttons. My second key sync without a problem. But also wont open roof with one push (holding), but stops a few times or wont finish the roof folding at all.
