Roof wrapping

Anyone ever wrapped their roof in any colour other than black?

I’ve got an Alpine White Z with Coral red interior and I’ve been thinking about wrapping the roof in a matte red but can’t find any photos to see what that’s look like.

I really like the look of a red roof and think it could be really nice.

I don't think it would work with a hard top, personally. I've thought about getting mine wrapped black a million times, so will follow the thread with interest

it works on the white soft top porker, however not so sure on an E89. I like the black wraps on white and valencia E89's but don't think I've ever seen anything other than black attempted

Can someone tech savvie not do a photo shop mock up etc.
My initial thought was it would probably look crap, but then I got to thinking about all those minis etc with red roofs which has made me think twice.

That’s a good idea actually. I did this super rough edit in Enlight on my phone. I don’t mind it from this angle.

For me personally and heres me talking from a design background the reason why it works so well on the porsche, rather than the hard top e89 is because of the material texture coming up. I think vinyl wrap wouldnt replicate the smalled fibre texture that makes the red acceptable as a roof. Hence why you dont see, vinyl wrapped roofs on non convertible with red vinyl.

Once i get a chance il mock it up on photoshop. But my personal preference is if it was a soft top id dye it red. Hard top, black.

Personally for me and this is my plan in the future is my alpine white e89 should be going black roof vinyl, 666m compeition alloys in gun metal grey 19s, blacked out side mirrors and a black lip spoiler.

I think it could look quiet nice in that colour you've picked.

This is mine which was done only a month or so ago in Black

It looks really good. Completely 'natural', as if it had come straight from the factory. Are you pleased with it?

(Pity about the aerial, though.)

Personally I think it could look good but would need a couple of accents in the same colour on the outside of the car as well such as mirrors and something like the part under the lower grill , otherwise it could look lost

How about the roof and the rear diffuser?
I have been toying with the idea of changing the colour of our diffuser to something completely different.
I saw a black one with a lime green diffuser and thought it looked pretty good but maybe a bit TFTF
