Roof wrap and tinted rears...

I like how the wrap ties in with the film on the rear screen, but it wouldn't be for me.
Although mine had a tint on the rear screen when I bought it in 2019!
Sadly by last year the film was starting to bubble around the heating elements which distorted the view in the mirror, especially at night.
So I removed the film and I prefer it with just the built-in Sun Protection. Although after this photo I spent ages getting the residue of the adhesive off, especially on the heating elements.

Csl’s on these are absolutely perfect… can’t understand why it wasn’t a factory option….. they are almost certainly my next purchase.
Love the side skirt blades also.. where are these from?
I might be wrong but I’m sure the rear tints on mine are factory? As they have no signs of any degrading like yours…..

Great if this was 1986 and you are 19 years old.
But it's not (1986).
Last car I had with 'tinted' rear lights was an XR3i in 1986 and I was 19. It was cool in those days (and at that age).
Those wheels were 19" CSL Reps but they're so common on Z4s I replaced them with OE 224s for a bit more exclusivity - and the CSLs were a bugger to clean!
The skirt blades were Maxtons but I sold them when I bought Aero sills.
If you rear window tints were done quite recently they won't be degrading yet, mine didn't for 2 or 3 years. I'm pretty sure the OE Sun Protection glass isn't nearly as dark as your windows.

I'm fine with the lights as they're not 'murdered out', but the almost totally black roof & rear window makes it look like a poor attempt to copy an F-Type coupe!

I worked hard and spent all my money on cars in those days. I had a Lotus when I was 20!
Then got a mortgage and drove shite cars for 30 years!
