After having my roof completely give up i feared the worst, obviously, but after driving for a few miles holding it down by hand i tried it again at a red light and it latched down again. Although the red roof light seems to flash intermittently. Seems to work and then stop so im unsure as to whether it the roof motor or dodgy wiring etc. Basically i wanting to force 12v onto the motor to see if thats knackered, if not i'll work backwards.
Also can i operate the roof by hand and tighten it down each time without causing damage? A repair isnt financially viable at the moment and the suns coming out
