roof wires

Hello everyone
I was thinking of replacing the wires in the roof in the areas where they are tearing... does the brown wire that tended to tear go through both sides? And if not, on which side do they tend to tear? thanks

There is a pair on the left and 2 pairs on the right, all 6 are prone to breaking.
There’s loads of info in the “how to” section.

When I replaced my cables I took the rear shell off (the one with the window in) only 6 bolts!

Made it much easier to remove and replace the cables (use a cable for continuous flex, such as ‘chain flex’)

If the tear is near a fastener or tight passage point, there may be constant tension or friction causing the cable to degrade

The insulation is basically rubbish. Insulation hardens, shrinks and then wire inside breaks in random places.
