I recently installed a new $70 plastic cover because the PO broke all the tabs off and had super glued the cover in place. I removed it the other day and it was so hard to remove I thought I was going to break the new cover. So to lessen the chances of breaking it in the future I drilled a hole so that I could use the 4mm allen to unlock/lock the top without removing the cover and used a removable rubber plug to cover the hole. Hopefully I'll never have to manually raise/lower the top but if I do I won't break the plastic cover!
