Hi,

I am looking for a set of black covers that fit around the side of the roof when it is lowered, these are blanking/plate covers.

Ahh been looking for those myself, never seen them come up on here but you can get them on ebay:

Thats a whole lot of money to hide not much!

Does it disarm the roof or are they an accident waiting to happen?

I know, pricey

from what I have read, the roof is not disarmed, so potential embarrassment at least...

They are indeed an accident waiting to happen, especially if you have remote roof opening/close.

Push the the button, up goes the roof, rips them off. Rebuild the locking mechanism and start again. Repeat several times over the Summer then sell them on...

mangaed to find one on ebaY the other day used, but top condtion £60 posted.

They are simply an accessorie, but do hide the un-finised sides. And keeps the dust and enviromental du-da out! Takes seconds to fit and remove.

I wouldnt be so "simple" and just power the roof when these are fitted.
Failing that; memmory would click, once the motor gets a tad louder, I would very much remember at that point.

It`s always best to keep an eye on your roof in the mirror etc, it`s a good way of telling of any faults by checking the action etc...

I think they are a great added feature, and improve the asthetics.

I dont notice the gaps and I'm extremely OCD about aesthetics.

Spend the money on some better wheel - nobody will notice!

got these and they are an accident waiting to happen! Do look good on the car though, when fitted I place a sticky red pad on the roof button as a 'no no no' reminder.
