Roof sensor - faulty, again...?

Tonight I picked up my sDrive 3.0i.

I'd been out in it twice, bought from a friend I know I can trust.

However, 200yds down the road the roof sensor warning light / dashboard warning /audio warning all came on.

Speaking to my friend, she says that there had been a problem before, but it had been into BMW under guarantee and the sensors replaced.

But, here we go again.......


Does anyone have any experience of this fault, at all please..........?

One or two people on here have had faulty sensors or rams replaced. It's a dealer only job. Because of the way the roof works it could be alignment or a faulty sensor.

Mine had the sensors replaced and the fault came back a few days later, it was eventually traced to a faulty micro switch this was changed and it's been fine since.
