Update:

A man who is a reputable trimmer has quoted £80 for a repair, advised he would twin stich both sides, which includes removing hood and repair for a day! Bargain I think ????/
Good job, spend the cash or end up with this shoe string modded heap

Let us know how you get on. I think the fabric is quite stretched when your roof is up so I hope it doesn't pull the repair.
Where about is the repairer ?

I used a sticky rubbery patch on the other side of my 2 inch inner split and it's held for the last few months.

Can he check your roof motor while he's got the roof off for £80 ? ;)

LOL I will be doing that this weekend! on the hit list are:

1) CDV delete.
2) Fit new aftermarket lights.
3) Fit Eibach Pro Kit.
4) Fit New Arial base.
5) Back Box Delete.
6) Fit Gap-tech
7) Fit Spacers!
8) Break fluid change,
9) Drainage blow out!

Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!

To take the roof off, replace the motor, then refit it all... Is about 5 or 6 hours labour, and cost me £360 incl. VAT at my indie. I'm not sure if you can just remove the inner skin to repair it - if you can then that would obviously be a much easier/shorter job. Fingers crossed he can do it

Looked at this site previously when I saw some wear on my Hood
