I've just had the Reinhold Key Fob Module and the Reinhold One Touch Module installed.

Both are great. Key Fob is a good pose...but the One Touch is the business. No more sitting holding the button to put the roof up. i know it's fast enough as it is.....but one touch lets you get into gear and ready to go. A nice little luxury touch...

Hi six_jp,

did you have to go to a specialist to get the items fitted or can any auto-electrician do the job?

I'm totally rubbish at diy, which is why i'm not going to try to attempt it.

Cheers

The one touch is really simple to install, just remove the switch panel above the gear lever and connect the wires.

The remote is a bit more tricky as that means laying under the glove box to join the white wire up which is really, really difficult to reach!

I echo that one, it's a bugger to reach... and most auto electricians looked a bit blank when I asked them about it, they had no clue! I did it myself in the end and it seems to work ok :D

I got my modules installed when it was in getting the iPod module installed, so they just charged me an hourly rate to install. I got charged 2 hours for it. The instructions sugest it takes this long roughly...so I assume the pro's did it a bit quicker but made some money....ho hum.

Took me about 4 I think... but I'm rubbish at this sort of thing :D

As PVR said I do really have enough do do before looking at these, but the Reinhold modules are the one I think I would go for.

Still need to find a good garage to do my CDV, no its an easy job if you can get under the car, but it getting cold wet and dark and I cant be arsed.

Second project is retro fit Sat Nav, just looking for a sub £300 MKIV DVD unit then I'm on my way.
