Roof rattle

I have a 09 reg. roadster which has an annoying rattle/clicking sound emanating from the roof when it is closed.
I have previously owned a 2004 model which had the same problem which took my local dealer three, visits to sort out.
Following one abortive visit last week I wondered if anyone has experienced a similar problem an knows the remedy so that I may inform my garage so as to save us all time and effort.

I have 2 annoying rattles from the roof, they seem to come from behind the little plastic covers at the base of the roof either side... my dealer cannot / will not locate / fix it however... Also have another equally annoying rattle from the windscreen surround, although this tends to be more noticable with the roof down rather than up...

throw it back to stealers and leave it with em until its gone - simple
the tension strap went in mine which they replaced whilst seaking the rattle - ended up being the roll bar insert and some rogue platic inside one of the plastic bits near the headlining where the vanity mirror is!

Mine sometimes rattles (late 2003 53 plate) and its the roof when its not clipped down all the way between the seats. A very light push stops the noise straight away i have found.
