Roof rattle..any remedies?

Hi guys,

my car has developed a roof rattle in the past 2 days. Pretty annoying!

It like two pieces of metal rubbing on contact. Its coming directly in front centre of the roof. Near where the roof meets the top sill of the windscreen..

I had that on mine when it was new, drove me mad. It was in the actual lock on the windscreen where the metal bracket rattled like mad when the roof was open.

I've isolated right at the centre of the roof (Where there is that cubby shaped thing).

Sprayed some WD40 on the joint, hopefully should be ok.

yep that is it. You put the smallest amount of pressure on the plastic and it stops...let me know please

Just went for a drive. WD40 sorted it.

Sketch that! Realised its worse this morning. Seems to be inside the cubby thing. :x

got this also... freaking annoying the heck outta me.
goes away if you use your right hand to push the catch in slighting, steer with your left knee and change gear with your left hand.

thinking WD40 may be a better solution
