Hi, Ive searched the forum for something on this and I cant find what im looking for. Today, tried to drop the roof but nothing happened. not even dropping the windows the few inches to start the process. Windows work fine up and down but not on the command to drop the hood. The orange light illuminates on the button as it should but no 'action'. I'm sure Ive read that if the roof motor has failed, the windows drop but no roof operation. I have had no trouble with the hood operation, no noisy motor or any of the tell tale signs of motor imminent motor failure, can this be a simple fix? thanks in advance.

Exactly what happened to me........easy fix though, providing it's the same problem.
In the boot on the panel which is effectively the back of the seats, there's a plastic insert with a small arm that slides up and down inside it, when you raise/drop the roof in the boot space (to allow more space when the roof is stowed). Inside this insert, on the left wall of it, there is a small metal clip that activates a plunger micro switch. If the clip has become detached, the switch won't work and no worky roofy. The roof needs to be stowed in the up position to see the clip properly.
New switch £18 and about 5 mins to fit.......I managed to refit my old one while awaiting new part.
