Roof pump oil level - difference between open and closed top

Hi,

Can someone say me what should be the difference in the roof pump oil level when the top is open and closed manually?
The roof can close with my new roof motor but can't open.
And the level does not seem to change whether it's open or closed.

As far as I am aware the level should be up to the mark on the side of the plastic reservoir on the top of the pump. If it is low just top it up with hydraulic oil. The circuits for the rams have feed and return pipes and should self bleed with a few open and closing operations, the level should be up to the mark once its been bled of any air. If it is still unable to open then the pump itself may have worn and not producing enough pressure to lift and open the hood.
