Roof Problems

An update to this. I went to have a play about with it at the weekend and was in the process of lowering the roof manually when I dropped the Alan key, which seems to have disappeared under my seat never to be seen again!

Anyway, what I did discover was that the light actually shows orange, not red as I previously thought (when I was lowering manually the light above was flashing red so I was able to compare the two).

So, now that I know that the light is orange anyone got any suggestions? It's a solid light when I try to lower using the button, not a flashing one.

Orange light indicates that the shelf in the boot is up instead of down, or the micro switch wiring to it faulty !

How does the switch on shelf operate, sorry not got my car until Saturday

Shelf is definitely down. Where can I find this switch?

The switch is on the bulkhead behind the shelf, difficult to see unless you get upside down in the boot.
There is a tab on the shelf that locates in the switch when the shelf is down, put your hand up behind the shelf and you will feel it.

It's the microswitch! Motor is operating fine, puts the roof back up no bother. Got upside down in the boot and the microswitch was loose, fell into my hand when I touched it and is bent out of shape.

Can someone helpful now tell me where to get a replacement and how to fit it back in? I assume this is fairly easy?

I would give Sopers a call, they are very helpful .It might be more obvious how it fits when you get the new one.
