roof problem

Hello fellow z4 lovers

this is my first post,

I keep getting the error code cx-I'd 256 on the dash and a constant boing. it's says that the roof is unlocked but when I go to put the roof down or up i get a red picture on the roof on my dash and the lower roof button just constantly flashes red, the partition in the back is fully down so I don't know what it can be?

can any of you's help me please, that would be very much appreciated

I had the same issue with mine during the summer. Took it to bmw, then did something with the software, either upgrade or reload and it's not happened since.
 
Didnt see that error code but the flashing switch & picture meant that a sensor had failed , luckily it was replaced under warranty as dealer told me it was an expsensive repair and they had car for 2 days which was mildly annoying
