Roof problem

Hi all
With the sun finally coming out this weekend i put my roof down for the first time since last summer. However the red light on the centre console switch keeps flashing even though the roof is fully retracted. When i press the rood down switch again the windows go half down then back up and the light goes off for about 15 secs but then starts flashing again.

Anyone know when the problem is and how to fix it??

Hmmm.. have you been doing any work in the car recently?

I regularly have the flashing Red light, but I know exactly what mine is and haven't got around to fixing it 100% as it usually works.

People will probably be along to tell you it's the boot shelf thing not sat correctly - but that's an Amber light and isn't quite what you describe.

Does it *always* move the windows when you try and correct it? If so I'd be wondering whether the windows need resetting as the roof doesn't think they're fully closed and has another go and shutting them.

If that was the case I'd be tempted with a battery off for 20mins then do the window reset procedure on here.

Mine out of interest, is a loose connection behind the passenger seat - there's a vent you can pull off and there's a connector plug which seems to pull itself loose every so often, even though it looks ok. I push it back down and the light immediately stops.

Yes Andy the windows always go half way down then up again when i try and correct.

I'll try the window reset and see if that works.
