Roof Problem

sounds like the motor to me, same thing happened to my roof and it was the motor, took it to a ex bmw machanic who did it for £600, third the cost of bmw dealer.

Hello Dave, is that down and up, ooh, that was quick :wink:. Wow, how did you get that recording, good work.
My roof doesn't sound much different to that. I don't think it's abnormal to have some noise when the separate motor unlatches before the roof goes down, and re-latches after roof comes up. Don't know what any other people think?
 
Sounds alright to me - isn't that unlock / down / lock?

Process is supposed to take about 15 seconds.
