Roof problem

The green thing needs to work, it's the emergency fuel flap release. If it does nothing, then it must be trapped or broken.
Good find folks for the cheap Hall switch. I have one, just in case.
I think the original went silly money as the Rolls Royce uses same part no. Hall switch.

Hi guys,

Thanks for hijacking this thread with your repair stories.

To be honest, this thread is regarding
"⌛Y3 Roof Diagnostic System (for all BMW convertible & roadster).".

Please move any further repair details into other threads, as nobody will find your "new repair results" below this topic.

Any additional diagnostic experiences are welcome.

Sorry Robbi,

Just before I duck out of the thread, and because you did mention it twice in replying to me, could you just clarify on cable tieing the rearmost Hall sensor? You obviously believe it's important but where does the tie go? Is it on the wiring directly after it leaves the body of the Hall or somewhere else? What do you tie it to, and what are the risks of not tieing it?

Thanks

Neil

Robbi,

I have reported my original post about my roof in this thread as 'off topic' to the forum admins and asked them to remove it and all subsequent posts to a different thread. Hopefully, they will be able to do that and restore this thread to its original intent.

Best regards

Neil
