Roof problem please help

Hi all proem with roof when I hit the button to down it unlocks lifts a bit then moves reall slowly and a sluggish noise from motor side I have to dis engage in the boot and move it manuall re engage and it completes the cycle to go down windows go up light goes off I have to do the samt to put it up it was fine the other day arrrrgh:)

Sorry, didn't understand a word of that..... :cry:
 
Is it possible that the mechanism is sticking in a certain area? I would have thought the motor would stop working all togetger if it had corroded/ shorted, unless the corrosion causes the motor to slowly sieze?
 
Well I would investigate the motor to see how much water it's sitting in first, you may save it??? No expert but it's prob already screwed. So it's a top off job either way.
