Hi all,
Have a problem with the soft top roof in my Z4 2005 2.0
As soon as I switch off the ignition and open the door to exit the car, the roof is automatically activated to detach without me pressing any buttons. Conversely, when unlock the car and entering, the roof is automatically activated and I have to sit in and press the button to attach it back to the car.
In order to prevent this, I have to get back in the car, and lock the doors from the inside via the central locking, unlock and get out - this tends to work but from time to time, the roof automatically activates to detach still.
Also, when the roof is all the way down, there's a red flashing light.
No idea what the issue is - the roof needs a little push when retracting but flips back on no problems so I am unsure if its a motor issue.
Wondering if it has something to do with the roof itself or the locking system, which may need reprogramming as this only happens upon exit/entering the car after locking/unlocking.
Your thoughts/ideas are much appreciated!
