This bank holiday Monday we had some cracking weather, so me and the wife decided to take the Zed out for a run to Whitby and grab some fish & chips.
On the way down the A1 I kept the roof up, but once we got onto the A64 and hit the usual traffic build-up, I fancied dropping it. Problem is, as most of you know, the E89 has to be completely stationary before the roof will operate — so when you’re crawling along at a couple of mph, you’ve got no chance.
Does anyone know if there’s a way to override this, so you can drop the roof while moving slowly, say up to 5mph? I’m not talking about flying down the motorway with it halfway open, just something that works when stuck in slow-moving traffic.
Be interested to hear if anyone’s looked into this or done it themselves.
