Roof operation via key-

Hi all,i had my roof operation coded from the key on Thursday,i pressed and held the open button,windows dropped then the roof dropped-great i thought.I left it in the garage, locked with the roof down-windows half way,but as the weather took a turn for the worse and i had to go out i pressed the same button,windows dropped into the door,that was it.I was told i had to press the same button,but as i type this i think i should of pressed the lock button to close the roof? :oops: -is this correct?
 
Press and hold the lock will do it if the dealer coded closure... Bmw dealers wont do this for health and safely reasons.

A better solution is a reinhold/ gaptech, 3 clicks on the key and you can walk away! No worrying about it stopping half way!!

I had the key coded for locking, but you may as well put the key in the door and do it, rather than standing by the car holding a button, It was a waste of money, its better spent on the gap tech module.
 
Andy, add yourself to the Gaptech group buy. I resisted for ages and then just thought 'bugger it' - for 100 notes it's a great mod. Also, if you have the key coded to close on the lock button then you may have a problem with the alarm being disabled when you press the lock button twice in less than 10 seconds - have a read of the Gaptech site, good info on there.

Sorry to let the side down chaps,but the house is going on the market and every penny(within reason )counts at the mo. :(
 
cost me £25 at an indy, and I wish I hadn't bothered, Any distance away and it didn't work or kept stopping half way through, so you had to stand by the car like a muppet, so you may as well have got in and done it, or used the key in the door.
Now the Gaptech.... that is a superb invention... press 3 times as you walk way and let it get on with it.
 
Hold the key to your head you won't look silly and it will work to much further away.

Exactly the same for me... Lucky I paid £25 and got other things coded at the same time, otherwise it would have been £25 wasted.
