My roof seems to work fully..SOMETIMES….other times when shutting it the rear glass part won't come down from the roof and i have to try a few times…also even when the roof is fully shut…i sometimes get the warning display and bongs as I'm driving along and the windows won't operate while this is happening…..

That's exactly what I had, after changing the sensors which didn't cure it, it was traced to a faulty micro switch and it's been fine ever since.

What dealers did you use?

Sytner, Coventry, took 3 goes to find it, they said they got their best guy on it in the end as I was threatening to reject it.

I wonder if i told Synter nottingham about it that they would phone coventry…save a load of messing about?

Might be worth a try, also the micro switch is the cheaper option cost about £17 where as the sensors were £77 each, take it yours is under warranty same as mine, the symptoms are exactly the same as you, though when they changed the sensors it was ok for a few days (see my previous post further back).

Took the car this morning at 8am, they gave me £5 towards a taxi home (costs £25) and then txt me at 10 to tell me the car is in the workshop….Phoned me at 11.30 to tell me they are replacing two switches that they have had to order and they should have the switches in by 3pm….will see how this developes……...

Before you leave the dealership, test, test and test again that the roof works fine, that's the mistake I made on the second visit I took their word for it and a day or so later it went again!

Told me it would be ready by four, then i get a call that the parts are late and it won't be ready until tomorrow :(

I see early in the life of these cars there was a recall for the air vents.
Does anyone know what the problem there was.
If they leak then its only the corners that would fill with water.
Can't see how it would get into the middle section.

Problem is if the tail lights get replaced at the dealers, due to moisture, are they actually fitting the tail lights correctly as its very easy not to fit the seals properly.
Then water could enter the boot.
Water in the lamp is a seperate problem.
