Roof opening with switch

I have to press my roof button a few times, sometimes more to make it bring the roof down, it always works eventually. Once it has been used on starting it activates quickly and it always goes back up straight away. Could this be a faulty button, the light comes on when pressed even when the roof decides to ignore it, or something I'm doing wrong. (The roof motor is in the boot)

Buttons rarely if ever fail

More likely to be the roof control module or a loom break

Thanks, where is the roof control module ? I will check all the connections to the motor, it always works eventually
always closes instantly.

Sorted it, it was the connections to the electric motor, whoever did a refit of the motor to the boot did a bad job of the connections using electrical tape. Will do it properly tomorrow.
