Roof opening on its own?

came home today and the roof was down,can any bmw key fob operate the roof?
It was also raining doh!

I very much doubt that anyone else's key can retract the roof. On the bright side at least it proves that the roof motor works! :lol:

Just noticed this was your first post, so that means we need pics. Not fussed whether the roof is up or down, let the car decide!
 
Dont know whether its any help but as a Newbie when I got my car the keyfob had been programmed to open the roof (dont think this is a standard arrangement) and it lets you open the roof from some distance. Is it possible therefore that you or someone else has inadvertantly operated the key say inside the house but within range of the signal
 
A key must be coded to the car to be able to operate the roof. If your car has comfort access enabled then you can open the roof by pressing and holding the unlock button on the key, so I suspect this is what happened ;)
