Had this happen to me last week, sitting stationary traffic and windows dropped and roof opened all by itself. My Gap Tech was soldered into the wiring connections so happy it's not that. Been ok for a week but yesterday would not open when I wanted to go out but having garaged the car last night I opened the garage door this morning to see the roof had opened itself during the night. My car is a 2003 with only 29K , I bought it at 16.5K nearly two years ago and the drains are clear, so I'm fairly confident the motor is ok, anyway when it works the motor is as smooth as silk.
I have just sent an email to the guys at GapTech to ask for their views. Have removed the switch panel this evening to isolate the motor.
I think the next thing will be to remove the module as see if it works as it did before. Will update as I get info.

I received an email back from Gary at GapTech, he said that I should remove the cig. lighter fuse (no.5 - 15 A) for 10 seconds to re-boot the module. Had time to do that this afternoon and up to now all is well again. :D
