Don't confuse the pump with the motor part.TIMMOS29 said:Cheersenuff_zed said:A little.TIMMOS29 said:If i swapped over unions would i lose fluid as inhave none in stock….

Ive been looking on ebay and see a few pumps from china anyone had any success with these?

Although you may be just as well to change the whole unit over.
This is a question that would like answering as Im wandering the same for the fluid.Zulu4 said:Thanks. I was a little concerned that if the lines are close to the level in the reservoir (as in my case - see photo a few posts up), it may try to suck air rather than oil through the pump.BumpyZ4 said:The lines can be placed in any position needed for your particular installation. The hydraulic pump doesn't care.Zulu4 said:Anyone know ?
Could some kind chaps tell me whether on their cars (with pump relocated) if the hydraulic lines are to the top or bottom of the reservoir.
If you removed the reservoir you would see that the intakes that lead to the unions are more or less in the middle. Therefore, as long as you ensure you get plenty of fluid in (stand it upright and fill until it spills out - which still leaves an air gap tp prevent hydraulic lock), then the pump should operate any way round, though anything past a 45 degree angle is tempting fate.TIMMOS29 said:This is a question that would like answering as Im wandering the same for the fluid.Zulu4 said:Thanks.
