Hi all, I'm a new bee so bare with me.
I changed radio the weekend and battery died on me so jumped it, now indicators on dash don't work and roof has no life in it, no noise from motor no red no Amber flashing lights by buttons, anyone with ideas please, only had car 3 weeks so not got great deal of knowledge on it yet, thanks in advance

Your first stop has to be either getting a full charge into the battery or replacing it if its knackered.
When the battery charge gets too low things in the car stop working. I would imagine the roof might be one of them.

OK cheers but car starts first time and wouldn't the red n Amber lights still flash tho?

The cars are very susceptible to low voltage, cars will start fine but a varying amount of different things won't work, people have had nav screens trying to move up an down for no reason and various dash lights stuck on, unsure weather the roof lights would still flash or not

Richard,

I think it's definitely a module, transport mode or a combination of the two. Lots of the modules in your car weren't communicating with DIS/GT1 when i hooked it up. The roof was working fine when you left and it's stopped since the battery was disconnected. Sounds like modules aren't talking on the can bus.

Have you had notice of the recall that the E89 had over the power lead from the battery to the fuse box ? I was getting intermittent unexplained electric problems which seem to be better since it was done .
Interestingly the dealership charged the battery whilst doing the job albeit the battery seemed ok to me .
