roof not working

My roof isn`t going down, what could this be?? the light is coming on to indicate the button is responding but it`s not even making a sound, any advice??

Check the microswitch in the boot, on the back wall behind the plastic part. Most likely suspect.

I had this once, i flipped up and down the expansion section on the boot (the bit where the roof goes down, using the plastic handles) then tried it again and it worked fine.
