Roof not working!

Hi

I've been looking at a few threads on this subject and am coming to the conclusion that the motor for my roof needs replacing! On pressing the 'roof down' button the windows drop half way as per usual however the roof only unlocks itself and opens an inch at most. It will then lock back in to place if I press the 'roof close' button however it won't open fully unless I pull the cord in the boot and manually drop it down.

I'm not keen on paying dealership prices to fix the motor so have found a BMW specialist however he's never had to fix a problem like this.

He's had a look around the car but is unsure of where the motor for this would be and I'm not keen on him opening up parts of the car if it's not going to be there.

Can anyone help please? It's on a 3.0 litre 2003 Z4 if that helps?

Not for you though! But good luck, I'm sure theres enbough there for your Indy to make a reasonable job of things. You might even save the motor if you're lucky and it dries out properly.
